ps.27:4 one thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

my hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus' blood and righteousness.
i dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly trust in Jesus' name.

on Christ the solid Rock i stand,
all other ground is sinking sand.

when darkness seems to hide His face,
i rest on His unchanging grace.
in every high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood,
support me in the whelming flood.
when all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

when He shall come with trumpet sound,
oh may i then in Him be found.
dressed in His righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne.

hebrews 12:1-3

therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off

everything

that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the righthand of the throne of God.
